Lifting the Veil of Shame

David Bedrick /

Shame is called "the master emotion" because it has the power to filter all of our experiences through a lens that leaves us thinking, "What's wrong with me?"

In this mini-workshop, David will help you:

  • to understand the three ways we get shamed
  • access your inner authority—your greatest protection from being shamed
  • see yourself through loving, not shaming, eyes

The workshop includes lecture, experiential learning through exercises, and David modeling a healing approach to working with shame with participants. There will also be time for questions and answers.

VALUES: I employ a nonjudgmental approach to understanding people and facilitating the class. I believe that pregnant in each person’s struggle, is not only a resolution, but also the seed of profound life changes. Together we create a sacred healing space.

“I took part in David's workshop on shame last month and I am so in awe of his research, exploration of the theoretical aspects of shame, and especially his ability to hold an honoring, safe space for personal exploration within the workshop. I can't recommend his approach enough—do yourself a favor & sign up!”

“David systematically explores the roots of shame, and through dialogue and exercises, helps bring a non-shaming witness to this dark shadow, allowing for deep awareness and healing. It’s brilliant material. David’s teaching style is completely engaging, and unraveling the roots of shame is a fundamental step towards self-love.”

“David Bedrick is one of the most spacious human beings I have ever met. Being in his presence is a truly healing experience. The words "heart," "soul," and "compassion" barely scratch the surface of how he shows up in the world. He is masterful at reframing perceptions where self-judgment keeps you stuck.”
