Finding Medicine in
Chronic Symptoms
A Journey of Healing and Reclamation with David Bedrick & Asha Frost
📅 March 31, 2026 ⏰ 9:30 am Pacific for 2 Hours 15 Minutes 🌐 Live on Zoom
Two Powerful Approaches, One Healing Experience
This is a rare opportunity to experience two distinct healing modalities working together: The Unshaming Way and Indigenous Healing Practices.
The Unshaming Way
David Bedrick’s approach helps you unfold your symptoms to discover their deeper intelligence and the message they carry for the world. You’re not broken—you’re a channel for what the world needs to hear.
Indigenous Healing Practices
Asha Frost guides participants through ancestral connection, guided journeys, and ceremony to reconnect with your spirit and the wisdom that lives in your bones.
Your symptoms are not problems to be fixed, but portals to profound wisdom and healing.
The Chronic Illness Paradox in Wellness Culture
The wellness field carries an unspoken disease: the belief that if you just do enough, try hard enough, or find the right cause, your symptoms will disappear. This creates a painful cycle of:
I'm not enough. I'm not doing enough. I'm not healing fast enough.
But what if this paradigm is wrong?
What if your symptoms aren't a sign of failure, but a sign of sensitivity? What if you're not broken, but channeling something the world desperately needs to hear?
This Workshop Is For You If...
You're living with chronic illness or persistent symptoms
You feel shame about not being "productive enough"
You're tired of the wellness field's message that you "created" your illness
You compare yourself to others and feel like you're not enough
You want to understand the deeper meaning of your symptoms
You're ready to reclaim the medicine within your pain
You want to connect with ancestors and spirit guides for healing
You're seeking community with others who understand

The Medicine of Witnessing
"People are shocked that I’m not trying to figure out their problems. . . I’m looking at you as a person who has medicine for me, who’s going to change me, who knows things that I’m out of touch with."
— David Bedrick
When you witness someone being treated as whole, powerful, and carrying sacred knowledge, something shifts. You begin to see yourself differently.
This is why the workshop includes live demonstrations. You’ll see what it actually looks like to unfold symptoms as medicine rather than pathology.
Bringing In The Ancestors
"I feel like ancestors whisper, they breathe through our bones and our blood... they dreamed us here."
— Asha Frost
The journey work connects you to:
Ancestors who may have suffered similar oppression.
The dream they held for your healing and freedom.
Animal spirits who reflect your forgotten power.
The sweetness colonization tried to strip away.
Your place in the larger web of healing.
I am the dream and the hope of the slave. Out of the huts of history's shame, I rise. Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave.
— Maya Angelou, "Still I Rise"
You are not healing alone. You are part of an ancestral dream of liberation.

He challenges the wellness industry’s perfectionism and helps people discover the shamanic knowledge living within their pain. Regarding this approach, Gabor Maté wrote, "David Bedrick provides a deep investigation of shame, the most debilitating of our mind states, and offers a path to divesting ourselves from it."
David has authored four books, translated into 9 languages, and has been training therapists and healers for 35 years.
